ESL

Castle Learning Online's ESL is specifically geared towards the English Language Learner (ELL).

The topics contain basic vocabulary skill questions meant to 'ramp' up the ELL's functional language skills. A variety of question formats builds upon basic skills and reinforces vocabulary terms. Each multiple-choice or fill-in question has a hint, reason and vocabulary linked that is appropriate for an English Language Learner.

Constructed-response questions include descriptive or conversational writing prompts with suggested answers. Colorful illustrations reinforce word recognition, spelling, and correct usage.

These questions will be especially helpful for Life Skills students, students struggling with basic comprehension skills, and lower level elementary students. Letters, colors, and numbers are reviewed in one section of the School unit.
